Obsessed with Icelandic singer Bjork, López became enraged when she began a relationship with a fellow musician. Making video diaries for months, López sent a letter bomb to the singer that was full of sulphuric acid in an attempt to kill her or, at the very least, devastatingly disfigure her. After he sent the package, he filmed himself explaining his plan before committing suicide. Police found his body and the video, allowing them to contact British authorities who intercepted the package before.
